About Project

Our world is full of wonders. Human beings have always tried to understand these. In the natural sciences one tries to obtain more knowledge about underlying natural laws. The field, however, is broad and a lot of information is produced every day. Information no one can possibly gather and read. Researchers working in their specialized fields try to obtain new insights every day. They work on their limits and enter regions of understanding which have not been touched before. However, they had to specialize. Nowadays, no one is able to have a general broad overview of everything. This becomes even more evident considering that the natural sciences are only one aspect of our lives. There is much more including humanities, social sciences and so on.

It would be nice to still be able to keep track of everything, but it has become impossible. Already in the different disciplines such as physics or biology or chemistry one cannot follow every possible path. One needs to focus on a few ones. This is the also the intention of this webpage. Being young researchers in our postdoctoral phase in the field of biophysics we want to present news on topics which we find to be interesting. We know that we will not be able to be complete, but at least we want to provide interested readers our favorite stories. This will not only include collections of news, but also own articles which introduce into topics of current “hot” research or which explain experimental or theoretical techniques to a broader audience. A blog about the life as a scientist shall follow too and are intended to give nonscientists a feeling about the work a scientist is doing. As well we hope that this webpage will establish a forum for scientists and non-scientists to discuss about their interests.

We develop this page in our spare time and therefore, we would like to excuse ourselves if it is not perfect. We, however, appreciate every kind of possible constructive feedback.

With these words we would like to welcome you on www.xScience.Info:
